Towering Pile of Hats

For this picture I used 1 point perspective. I started drawing the bottom hat first and then drew the others and colored them in. I then drew Heavy (wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Heavy‎) wearing the hats and colored him in. Finally I colored in the sky using a piece of blue chalk.

Top Hat Mug

I used a roller and a knife to create this mug. I based the top part off of pinch pot and the bottom off of slab. It is supposed to be a top hat mug. I glazed the inside so I could drink out of it but it tasted awful.

Shadow Project

For this shadow we used a Pez dispenser bunny head. This bunny head surprisingly looked like a bunny sitting. I tried to originally create a factory with pipes but that didn't work.

For this one we used a piece of paper to create the image of a mug shot. Unfortunately  I wasn't able to contribute for most of the project because I was doing other work. If anything I feel day 1 turned out surprisingly better.

Greedy Godzilla

Relief is the projection of forms or figures from a flat surface, so that they are partly or wholly free of it.3 types of relief are low relief, high relief, and sunken relief. I chose Godzilla as my animal because I think he looks really cool. I'm proud of how the eyes and mouth make him look like he's grinning. If I could change one thing, I would make wouldn't have made his head above a seperate layer from the body.

Horror

Non-Objective is art that does not represent reality but uses shapes, forms, colors, and textures to create an effect. I randomly stroked my brush with 4 colors to create the backround of this peice which created colorful effect.

Smily Car

We originally made a pumpkin but it kept blowing away. We decided to make a smily face on Ms. Sudkamp's car. We used the materials we used to make the pumpkin (orange and yellow leaves and vines). We used the same materials because we didn't want them to go to waste.

Name Project

I used an analogous color scheme for this picture and used markers to draw it. I used analogous because I wanted the letters in my name to look as if they were made of fire. I used markers because I thought they would be the easiest to use.

Article #2

Connor Bieler                         9/26/13                    Visual Arts I                Period 2

A new Van Gogh painting has been sitting in an attic for years. I decided to research famous missing paintings. Some of these included; The Concert , The Storm on the Sea of Galilee, Poppy Flowers, View of the Sea at Scheveningen, and Landscape with an Obelisk. Famous paintings cost a lot of money, so art thieves try to make a living off of stealing them.
